As much as I love experimenting with makeup, skincare is what I'll always look forward to at the end of my day. Just the feeling of melting my makeup and daytime skincare off with an oil cleanser already feels like a million bucks.
There's one thing I noticed about people and skincare = it's all about quick, easy, and effective. I get it, nobody has the time to do 5+ steps at night (unlike an average Korean gal who does about 10-13 steps on a regular basis). Personally, I do about 8 steps every single night: makeup wipes, oil cleanser, cleanser, toner, essence, oil/serum, eye cream, and moisturizer (10 if I add in exfoliating and masks which I do 1-2 times a week). But that's another topic--- I do plan on doing a review on my day or night time skincare routine soon!
This is an unbiased 100% honest review of:

For the longest time, I kept typing "Belif" as "Belief" in my search bar.
A QUICK BACKGROUND ON BELIF: Belif stands for "Believe in the truth" with their innovated and safest technology. The cosmetic brand is a blend of apothecary and modern Korean skincare science together to create a skincare line using traditional and natural herbs. Duncan Napier is the genius behind Belif, in which he stated, "the best raw materials create the most honest efficacy." Belif has carried on Napier's philosophy and his legacy in each Belif products.
The first product I've ever purchased from Belif is their Aqua Bomb. It's a light-weight, gel-water based moisturizer that is guaranteed to boost your skin's natural moisture level by 18%. It's seriously one of the best moisturizer to wear in the Summer time! Then Belif introduced the world to their newest addition: Peat Miracle Revital.
For a little over 6 months, I have consistently used this serum and moisturizer. There were a few times during the Winter, when I switched my Belif serum for my Josie Maran Reserve Argan Oil because my skin was incredibly dry with dry patches. But for the most part, I've been super loyal to my Peat Miracle. To prove it, I recently finished with my first bottle/jar and I went ahead and purchased my 2nd bottle/jar.
INGREDIENTS: One word: Peat. It's basically decomposed plant remaining parts and it is rich in anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatory, an astringent, and a great anti-aging ingredient. It has been used on 3,000 years old dead human bodies to preserve and retain their skin and internal organs. Belif's Peat Miracle Revital line not only moisturizes your skin but it firms, improves cell-turnover for a smoother complexion, and it's gentle to use on Sensitive skin.
The term "firm" in skincare does associate with anti-aging because it helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A lot of mature clients has asked me, "you're only 21 years old. How do you know if this product actually helps with wrinkles?" Well, there's one thing I'm definitely sure about: this is skincare, not magic. If you're the type of buyer who presumably purchase anti-aging skincare because you think it'll erase all of your wrinkles and fine lines in a matter of 2 weeks, then please erase that out of your memory. Skincare prevents, protects, and slow down the aging process but it will not turn your skin 20 years back.
I may not have fine lines or wrinkles but after using this serum for a little over 6 months, I have noticed a difference with my skin. It has become way more softer and smoother, brighter, more plumped than before, and it has tightened my skin.
P.S: Tighten in a very good way because it "lifted" my skin.
The most potent form of Peat is Peat Extract, which is the 2nd ingredient in this serum. Peat extract basically extracts the most distinct organic compounds from the complete form of Peat. It's the closest form next to the whole Peat.
Also, this serum is a blend of 80 different herbs to transform your skin! Talk about a good treatment for the skin. To be noted: Alcohol Denat (Denatured Alchol) is balanced with a few emollients in this serum so it's not drying to the skin.
HOW IT FEELS: My first thought when I applied it onto my skin, "it absorbs SO fast!" I personally feel like this serum is an in-between mixture of an oil and a serum. It appears thick but it's not sticky at all. My nose definitely picked up the herbal side but it's not strong.
I freakin' adore everything about this moisturizer. I used this during the Fall, Winter, and Spring. I'm most likely going to continue using this now that we're slowly transitioning into the Summer weather.
Let me tell you why I love this moisturizer: my skin feels incredibly hydrated in the morning, softer, more awake in the morning, doesn't break me out or irritate me at all, and the texture of this moisturizer is so addicting.
Although I am curious why the percentage of Peat extract is quite low in this moisturizer (0.5%) but I spy Jojaba Esters, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, and Horse Chestnut Leaf Extract to help hydrate and effectively improve skin's elasticity.
Do you believe me now when I said I legitimately finished a whole entire jar of moisturizer? I find it shocking because I rarely ever finish a whole jar. I'll use it half-way through and switch to a new one--- but this moisturizer is a must have for me in my routine.
The texture is velvety, rich but does not feel heavy, doesn't leave an oily appearance on the skin, and it also has a rare blend of 80 different herbs!
Besides from the serum and moisturizer, this line also has a clay mask and eye cream! Unfortunately, I was only able to afford the serum and moisturizer because my wallet doesn't allow me to have nice things. But I have received samples before in the past and I truly did enjoyed using these two products. Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to purchase a full size!
I'm sure you guys can already figure out what I'm going to say, so to cut it short, I highly recommend everyone to give Belif a try. I love that I'm able to cocktail Belif products with my other products. Also, Belif is a natural brand that formulates their products without mineral oil, fragrance, synthetic preservatives, synthetic dyes, and animal-origin ingredient.
Would I recommend to a friend? Yes.
Price: $58 for the moisturizer and $60 for the serum.
